OS notes

  • macOS and Linux: The extension settings usually run in your local editor environment
  • Windows: If you use PowerShell, Windows Terminal, WSL, or a dev container, confirm which environment the extension actually runs in before you set paths or test network access
  • Cross-platform rule: Put the provider settings in the same environment that owns the extension session

Cline and Roo Code

Use the OpenAI-compatible provider option and fill in:
  • Base URL: https://api.appleai.codes/v1
  • API key: YOUR_APPLEAI_API_KEY
  • Model: anthropic/claude-sonnet-4
If Roo Code rejects the versioned URL, retry with the raw host: https://api.appleai.codes

Continue

Add a model block like this to your Continue config:

Kilo Code and similar forks

If the extension is a Cline-style fork, the same three values usually work:
  • Base URL
  • API key
  • Routed model path
When the product supports only raw host input, use https://api.appleai.codes and let the client append /v1 itself.
